The internet is evolving at an ever increasing pace. Offering an API to developers which they can use to build new applications and websites is a common thing. Today Dance-Tunes is announcing its release of a public API.
It’s time for change. In a few weeks we are opening the doors to developers so they can build whatever they can think of using a public version of our API. This will allow developers to build their own website using Dance-Tunes extensive library of music. Want to build a player for songs by a specific artist to use on a fan site: feel free to do so. Want to display a top 100 of tracks from your favorite genre on your blog? You can do that too. Want to build a mashup of different services and integrate more than 500.000 individual Dance tracks? Go for it! Want to build an iPhone app that displays this weeks hottest new tracks? You can do it.
End of February 2009 we will publish a webpage that explains the API. Stay tuned to find out when the fun starts! Initially the public API will only allow non-commercial use, but a commercial version of the public API is currently being developed. Building your own Dance Music Download store is just a few steps away. Want to use the full Dance-Tunes API for a commercial website? Use the contact form to apply for a developers account with full access to our complete API.
Let you imagination go wild and build what you feel needs to be built, we are offering the tools to build a great music website/player/app/etc!
